Experienced labor and delivery specialists provide everything from prenatal to postpartum care — including specialized care for high-risk deliveries and a range of educational resources and support to meet the needs of new parents.

Prenatal Care

North Knoxville Medical Center's care begins in the earliest stages of pregnancy, with prenatal checkups and services tailored to your specific needs. You'll learn about proper nutrition and work with your obstetrician to develop a birth plan, choose a pediatrician and get properly prepared.

Labor and Delivery

Our maternity services are designed to fulfill the needs of expectant mothers and newborns. Physicians, nurse midwives, labor and delivery nurses and other clinical staff are dedicated to providing every patient with personalized care in a safe and comfortable environment.

At The Birthing Center at North Knoxville Medical Center, you will have:

• A private patient room for labor, delivery and recovery
• A spa-inspired bathroom with spacious shower
• Special amenities, including a flat-screen television and sleeper sofa for your partner
• Free Wi-Fi access
• Fetal monitoring
• 24/7 nurse anesthetist services for medication and epidural administration during labor
