Powell, TN (August 29, 2023) – Tennova Healthcare - North Knoxville Medical Center announced the addition of Anita Scheiman, FNP-BC, to the gastroenterology (GI) team. With a background in gastroenterology, neurology, med surg, oncology and intensive care, Scheiman brings a robust experience portfolio to support the needs of the growing community of Powell, TN, and the surrounding areas.

Scheiman earned her RN degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ, and followed that up with a master’s degree focused in family practice nursing from Chamberlain University in Chicago, IL. Her most recent experience as a neurology NP, hospitalist NP and finally a gastroenterologist NP, led her to her chosen specialty of gastroenterology. The provider she worked under demonstrated a sincere love of the service, which gave her the fuel to see the passion in the practice. She feels that gastroenterology gives her the opportunity to make a difference for her patients.
