...LOOK FORWARD to a new patient tower with more than 98,000 square feet at North Knoxville Medical Center.
With more than 475 caregivers and 45 locations across greater Knoxville, Tennova Healthcare can help you keep your health on track so you can enjoy all of life's important milestones. The approximately 98,000 square foot patient tower at Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center will increase the hospital's capacity to serve patients with the addition of 28 ICU beds, 28 adult acute beds, an expanded emergency department with observation rooms, new meeting space and shell space at the top for future use. Tennova will also renovate and enhance spaces in the existing building including the pharmacy, laboratory, materials and facility support areas. Construction is expected to be complete in March 2024.

Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center first opened in 2007 and this is the first significant bed expansion outside of the original structure. This project has been a collaboration of many people and we are thankful for all that helped to make this happen. Soon, we'll celebrate the opening of our 4-story Patient Tower and new emergency room at North Knoxville Medical Center. The tower represents our continued growth and development of our healthcare system to meet the needs of our community.
