Cancer Care
When you’re facing something as serious as cancer, you want quality people and technology fighting for you. Fortunately, both are available at North Knoxville Medical Center.
We offer a variety of services for cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis and recovery. That means adolescents to adults can have their cancer care needs met close to home, in the hands of people they know and trust.
Our approach includes imaging and treatment options, and our tools include valuable education, counseling and support. We strive to make the healthcare experience of patients and their families as positive as possible — from discovery to recovery.
We provide innovative treatment options tailored to meet each patient’s individual needs, including stereotactic body radiosurgery, 3-D conformal radiation therapy, robotic-assisted surgery and brachytherapy. Physicians plan treatment by consulting with surgeons and chemotherapy and radiation specialists to develop effective approaches. In many cases, several treatment options are combined to provide care.
At North Knoxville Medical Center, we make sure services are accessible and timely, because we know the sooner you begin treatment, the sooner you can get back to your life. We offer all levels of cancer care, including inpatient, outpatient, hospice and home health care services. Part of cancer care includes special support services to address the unique needs of cancer patients and their families, including nutritional support, cancer education resources and spiritual care.
